During our Mold Remediation presentation, we build containment, set up negative air and simulate mold growth within a structure. We then remove contaminated structural material, we show how to clean and remediate using wet wipe applications, HEPA vacuuming, and dry ice blasting, how to encapsulate, how to use a sander in conjunction with a HEPA vac to remediate, etc. This “hands on” course covers the basics of assessment, sampling, containment, remediation and post remediation testing. The course includes many large loss case studies and the results of each project.

Our Water Damage #101 course includes a 200 square foot structure actually being flooded, with attendees benefiting from a “hands on” experience with extraction, weighted extraction, rotary extraction, drying equipment including air movers, and refrigerant and desiccant dehumidifiers, moisture detection equipment including penetrating and non-penetrating moisture meters, hammer probes, infrared cameras, etc. We discuss Psychrometrics, Rapid Structural Drying, and the Principals of Drying.  The course includes many large loss case studies and the results of each project.

The presentation includes water damage effects on construction materials, how and why we extract, and how extraction is 500 times more effective than evaporation and dehumidification. We also walk attendees through airmovement, dehumidification, moisture mapping, and moisture content tracking. We show you what is wet, how to find hidden moisture intrusion, and how to correct the water damage. Attendees will have an opportunity to handle penetrating and non penetrating moisture meters, infrared cameras, and thermal hygrometers.
